Internet Explorer 7 has officially been released to the wild.
What do you think of it?
Do you think Mozilla's Firefox will lose market share?

IIRC, Girlfriend of Steel is a game made as a side-story to the main series. In it, a new girl appears named Maya (forgot her last name). She befriends Shinji and things finally start looking good for him. Unfortunately, Maya is an agent from a rival organization...

Hiko vs Shishio? Not even a contest. Even if Shishio didn't have his time limit issue, Hiko would slice and dice him like no one's business.

Does anyone have any experience with the various home security systems/services?
I am in the market for one and would appreciate any information you may have.

Once upon a time, way back in the 1980s and 1990s, there was a fun 2D platformer series called Valis (aka Fantasm Soldier Valis aka Sword of Valis). It starred a pretty 16 year old Japanese school girl (Yuko) who was called upon to wield the Valis Sword and defend both Earth and a magical land. It wasn't a groundbreaking series, but it was fun and had pretty anime girls beating up big bad guys.

For more info, see here: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/valis/valis.htm

Of course, because the girls were pretty, countless H-doujinshi were made in their honor, so to speak...

Fast forward to March of 2006. After years of fans asking for a new Valis game (preferably starring Yuko), a new series of games are being released. When I first heard the news, I was quite happy. Until I learned the details...

Unfortunately, the series turns out to be a 5 part hentai series (2 of which are already released) called Valis X (Valis Cross). What is worse, not only is the series being dragged through the mud, it is being done by its original publishers, who not only endorsed the games but are also distributing it!

How dare they dirty my memories of Yuko and the Sword of Valis!

I'm in the market for a pair of wireless controllers for the PS2. Does anyone have any recommendations and/or advice?

I have a movie file (AVI, Divx, can't remember the audio codec) that plays on WMP just fine. I also have an SRT file that contains subtitles for the movie file. How do I create a DVD disc of the movie with option subtitles?

The number of notifications I have may not always be correct (usually only incorrect when I first open to MT and using cookies to stay logged in) but a simple page refresh, or opening a new page, corrects the problem.

Since it now the new year, new versions of the various internet security suites have emerged.
- Norton seems to be preloaded on Dell machines and appears to be endorsed/recommended by Best Buy.
- I haven't heard much about McAfee, but it appears to still be a solid application.
- I understand that Computer Associates' eTrust is the brand used internally by MS, so there has to be something there. Unless MS owns CA, of course.
- One of the guys at Best Buy discretely pointed me toward MicroTrend, saying that it is what he used.

So two questions:
What suite, or parts/portions thereof (anti-virus, firewall, spam filter, etc), do you use?
Where can I find a good point-for-point comparison between the various versions?

Refreshing works but it appears to me that you are still getting dinged for downloading it "again".

For anyone that may care...

Kamichu won an Excellence Prize in the Animation division and Victorian Romance Emma won an Excellence Prize in the Manga division.

hot sauce

aaaeeeeglnrsttt - someone that helps you find a home

I've never played/watched the game but from all the wallpapers I have seen, I am kind of looking forward to this anime.

Well, there is always... Grand Slayber!
It is a 100+ meter long lightsaber-like weapon from Genesis Surviver Gaiarth.
And it isn't a weapon wielded by a mecha, either... but by a human-sized character.

f

shoujo - girl

I definitely preferred Onimusha. It is rather cool to do the samurai, limited to weaponry of his time, vs demons schtick.

Yeah. The first box has a figurine of Pacifica. The second one has a figurine of Pacifica's totally gorgeous sister, Raquel. Too bad she doesn't get as much screen time as their brother, Shannon.

Whoo-hoo!
I picked up the limited edition box (with figurine) last weekend, while at SakuraCon!
The DVD is excellent and the figurine looked pretty good. My only issue with it was that I thought the figurine was a might too disproportionately leggy.

Scrapped Princess is finally coming to the US! Ha-zaa!
This series is one of my favorites and I can't wait to go get it on DVD.

It is good to help with the Tsunami victims, but don't forget there are other charitable orgnizations that also need donations. Often, throughout the year.
